Special elections

Special elections are used to fill vacant offices or decide ballot questions. They can be scheduled at various times during the year and may be held in conjunction with a regularly scheduled election.

April 14, 2026 - ISD 284 Wayzata special election

February 27: Early voting begins

  • Early voting location: District Service Center, 13305 12th Ave N Plymouth, MN 55441
  • Hours:
    • Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. starting on February 27
    • Saturday, April 11 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
    • Closed on public holidays

April 14: Special Election Day

March 27: Early voting begins

  • Early voting location: Champlin City Hall, 11955 Champlin Drive, Champlin, MN 55316
  • Hours:
    • Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. starting on March 27
    • Saturday, May 9 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
    • Monday, May 11 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    • Closed on public holidays

  • November 2, 2027 (First Tuesday after the first Monday in November)
