Eden Prairie Road safety improvements
County Road 4 in Minnetonka and Eden Prairie
Hennepin County will repave and restripe Eden Prairie Road (County Road 4) from Excelsior Boulevard (County Road 3) to just south of West 62nd Street (County Road 62).
Engagement for this project will take place during 2025, and construction is planned for 2026.

We expect to complete design work by summer of 2025 and implement anticipated improvements during the 2026 construction season. Projects like this usually begin with intersection work, then pavement work, and finish with restriping.
Potential changes
We are looking at restriping Eden Prairie Road to improve the safety and comfort of road users without impacting traffic.
Potential changes include:
- Narrow travel lanes in each direction to help control vehicle speed
- Evaluate adding dedicated bike lanes in each direction
