Eden Prairie Road safety improvements
In 2026, we're improving Eden Prairie Road (County Road 4) between Excelsior Boulevard (County Road 3) and just south of West 62nd Street (County Road 62) in Minnetonka.
Construction updates
June 1 through July 31
Be alert for single lane closures near intersections as project staff work on crossings, curbs, and ramps.
August 3 - 7
Crews will repave Eden Prairie Road between Excelsior Boulevard (County Road 3) and just south of Townline Road (County Road 62). Be alert, reduce your speed, and watch for signs or flagging to guide you safely through the work area.
About the project
In May we removed the center median on Eden Prairie Road, just south of Excelsior Boulevard, and moved electrical wires for the traffic signal.
In June and July, we’ll improve the pedestrian ramps and crossings at several intersections in the project area.
In August, we’ll repave the road and repaint the lane markings.
Improvements
When work is completed in late summer this section of Eden Prairie Road will be smoother, safer, and will work better for all the people who use it. You'll notice narrower lanes to help calm traffic; upgraded curbs and ramps to make it easier to cross; and new dedicated bike lanes on each side of the road to improve safety.
