Woodland Trail improvements

Hennepin County will repair pavement and replace culverts on Woodland Trail (County Road 10) between Rebecca Park Trail (County Road 50) and just west of Lake Independence Regional Trail (County Road 19) in Rockford, Greenfield, and Corcoran. We will also convert the bypass lane on Woodland Trail to a left turn lane at Whisper Creek Trail.

Construction updates

We will share more information on traffic impacts as we get closer to the start of construction, tentatively scheduled to begin in early summer 2027.

You can expect short-term road closures as we replace culverts and repave segments of Woodland Trail.

About the project

When this project is complete, people will notice a smoother and safer road for everyone that uses it. We will recycle existing pavement, through a process called full-depth reclamation, and repave the road with new asphalt. The new culverts will also help prevent flooding and erosion.
